Are you a visual artist with a desire to incorporate (more) language into your arts practice? This course is for everyone interested in the intersection of arts—visual arts, book arts, and more—and language. We will focus on poetry, which offers diverse and flexible ways of engaging language as a visual, spatial, and embodied medium. Together, we will read and discuss poems and what we can bring from poetry into arts practices, write, and share works in progress in a supportive environment.
