Instructor: Lorrie Grainger Abdo
In this introductory papermaking workshop, you’ll learn how to create beautiful sheets of handmade paper using cotton pulp for base sheets. We’ll also play with colored pulps and inclusions, as well as a few additional tricks to add interest to your paper. Students will also see how fibers are beaten down in preparation for papermaking. After pulling and decorating several sheets, students will help load them into the hydraulic and drying presses. Each student can expect to make a small stack of paper that can be used for future projects or as a piece of art. Sheets will be ready for pick up a few days after the class.
All materials are included.
