Quick and simple books that still look amazing? Sign us up! A Pamphlet Stitch is a simple, effective way to create beautiful, soft-covered books, and a perfect technique for making zines, blank travel notebooks, quick sketchbooks, or for a personal gift! This class will explore several different fun pamphlet stitch binding methods that beginners or veteran bookbinders can use over and over!
MATERIALS TO GATHER (prepare to make 4 or 5 books):
8-10 sheets of paper per book for interior book pages - trimmed to 6" x 9" (if using 9" x 12" paper) or 5.5" x 8.5 (if using 8.5" x 11" paper)
6" x 9" (or 5.5" x 8.5) cardstock or decorative papers for covers - 1 sheet per book
Craft/X-acto knife
Metal ruler
Cutting mat
Scrap paper
Pencil
Awl
Bone folder
Needle and decorative thread (embroidery or other)
Scissors
