Celtic Calligraphy, a three-part workshop

Instructor: Julie Kechele
Learn the basics of calligraphy with a broad-edged pen. Whether you are a beginner or just need a refresher, this 3-session workshop will focus on the Uncial hand - great for Irish blessings and medieval-style manuscripts! Once you master the basic forms (and practice between sessions), we will add some decorative capital letters and simple Celtic designs and letter a short quotation for framing, greeting cards, or a small accordion book.
This workshop pairs well with the Celtic Design workshop for incorporating knotwork and other designs typical of medieval manuscripts into your new Uncial skills! All tools and materials provided.
Teens/Adults, all levels
