Create a personalized journal or sketchbook using the Button-Hole binding technique with Rachel Stickney this Fall!
A Button-Hole bookbinding stitch is a unique form of a long stitch (a type of exposed stitch on the spine of a book) with a hard, wrapped cover and a no-glue spine. A rounded, rectangular, or other custom shape is cut out of the spine of the book to reveal decorative stitching.
In this workshop, you will learn the technique for a rectangular cutout and will use bookcloth for the wrapped cover and decorative paper for the end pages. The pages of this beautiful hardcover book open flat, making it perfect for writing, sketching, or as a photo or scrapbook album!
All materials are provided.
