The Kalamazoo Book Arts Center established the Poets in Print program in 2008 to encourage collaborative projects between writers and visual artists.
Each year the KBAC hosts five poetry readings featuring two poets at each event. In preparation, we collaborate with visual artists to create limited-edition broadsides, using hand-set type, relief images, and other printmaking techniques. During the readings, the poets sign the editions.
Broadsides can be purchased during the Poets in Print readings at a discounted price ($15). Broadsides can be ordered individually, or as sets in a custom-made portfolio or clamshell box.
The KBAC is committed to inclusion of all members of the community regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, age, or ability.
KBAC’s educational and artistic programming is made possible through the generosity of these organizations, other private funders, and people like you.
