In its early days, my alternative rock band, Uzizi, incorporated its live performances with slide visuals of my artwork, long before there was youtube and Power Point presentations.  This feature of our live gigs became an intriguing element of the band’s identity.  Being a visual artist, as well as a musician, designing what I have coined as “songbooks”, later became a format which seemed to be a natural extension of the band experience.  In a gallery setting, the viewer is directly involved with the individual books; walking by the text/imagery on the walls, or on the floor, while listening to the band’s recorded material via QR Code.
