DeeSoul Carson is a poet and educator from San Diego, CA, currently residing in Brooklyn, NY. His work is featured in Muzzle Magazine, AGNI, The Offing, & elsewhere. His chapbook, Running from Streetlights (2020), is a meditation on Blackness in America during the “Summer of Racial Reckoning.” A Stanford University alum, DeeSoul has received fellowships from the NYU MFA program, the Watering Hole, and the National Endowment for the Arts. Saba Keramati is a Chinese-Iranian writer from California. She is the author of Self-Mythology (University of Arkansas Press, 2024), selected by Patricia Smith for the Miller Williams Poetry Series. Her work has been published or is forthcoming in Lit Hub, Kenyon Review, and The Rumpus, among others, and has been awarded the Discovery Poetry Prize, the Nossrat Yassini Poetry Prize, and the Third Coast poetry prize. She is the poetry editor for Sundog Lit. Saba lives in Dearborn, Michigan with her partner and their two cats.
