KBAC Director Jeff Abshear led two groups of students through Italy this summer. The first to experience the wonders the country had to offer were eleven Western Michigan University students. They learned about the book arts in three different print studios through a Study Abroad class offered by the Frostic School of Art and Haenicke Institute for Global Education. They were followed by a group of adult students that enabled them to learn, print, bind and enjoy the culture of magical Venice and peaceful Cornuda.

This exhibition will showcase the prints and books that were created while in Italy as well as exhibit work that was created upon return home. This travel experience influenced everyone in different ways but it inspired all to appreciate the work seen while there and make their own work that is reflective of the journey.
