KBAC Gallery
Opening reception Feb. 7 during Art Hop, 6 to 9 p.m.
This exhibit by former KBAC interns Jeremy Emmendorfer, Brittany Stecker, and Keeney Swearer, will give us the opportunity to discover what these young artists are doing Here and Now.
Jeremy Emmendorfer graduated from Western Michigan University with a BFA in Printmaking in fall 2012 and currently resides in the Metro Detroit area. He has shown work both locally and internationally, and has work included in public and private collections that employ traditional printmaking practices with a contemporary approach.
Brittany Stecker graduated from Western Michigan University with a BA in Art in 2009. She has shown in galleries and art centers throughout Michigan and in Chicago. Focused on line, pattern and repetition, she creates works inspired by the rhythms of the natural world. Some of the drawings in this show are created on paper handmade at the Kalamazoo Book Arts Center. Brittany currently works and resides on the southern coast of Lake Michigan.
