Opening Friday, Feb. 5, 6 to 9 p.m. during Art Hop
The KBAC Gallery presents a series of multi-media works by Vicki VanAmeyden on exhibit from Feb. 5 – 25.
Vicki VanAmeyden received a Master of Fine Arts in Painting from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI in 2002 with a concentration in printmaking and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from Kendall School of Design, Grand Rapids, MI in 1986. She teaches drawing, painting and printmaking courses for the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts and is Adjunct Faculty in the Arts and Communications Department at Kellogg Community College.
“The works in Millennium Text Series engage the potential layered meanings and interpretations of mark making as attributed to the written word. The materials used in their making reflect my consideration and perception regarding the political, social and cultural consciousness of America at this current marker in time, the turn of the century.’
