Encaustic Monotype: Painterly Prints Without a Press

Saturday, October 19
10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Instructor: Carol Myers

Using a heated aluminum surface and pigmented beeswax, you will be able to create one of a kind prints on paper and scrolls. You will learn how to apply and print the wax, draw back into the image, and use stencils and common household tools to create your marks. We will discuss materials, set up and safety. Once you have created your prints, we will discuss presentation and care of your work.

Households who donate over $50 receive a year long 10% discount on enrollment fees and store purchases. Learn more about donating.
