Chad Sweeney book release and reading
Celebrate the release of Sweeney’s new book of poetry, Arranging the Blaze, published by Anhinga Press. Join us for a reading, reception and live music.
Chad Sweeney is the author of Arranging the Blaze (Anhinga, 2009), An Architecture (BlazeVOX, 2007), and A Mirror to Shatter the Hammer (Tarpaulin Sky, 2006), and editor of Days I Moved Through Ordinary Sounds (CityLights Books, 2009), an anthology of poetry, prose and memoir by the teaching artists of the national WritersCorps. Chad was chosen for Best American Poetry 2008 by Charles Wright, and his poems and translations have appeared in journals such as Black Warrior Review, Crazyhorse, Colorado Review, Poetry International, New American Writing, Verse, Volt, and American Letters & Commentary. He is co-editor of Parthenon West Review and recently moved from San Francisco to become a Ph.D. candidate in literature at WMU in Kalamazoo, where he teaches creative writing and serves as assistant editor of New Issues Press.
